REST Technique™ Meditation Teacher Training

Love your Conscious Health or REST Technique™ meditation practice and ready to take it to the next level?

Now is the time: our society needs more meditation and less stress, and it needs more people like you to get us there.

In this 12-week (virtual) meditation teacher training program, you'll become certified to teach this incredible technique to friends, family, colleagues and more! And you’ll be able to teach it in a trauma-informed, culturally competent way.

Dates:

I think Jill does such a great job of bringing Eastern teachings to Western thinking minds— subtle body and physical body information. I feel comfortable talking about stress and meditation in my circle of friends and not sounding to “woo woo.” Love the trauma informed way of approaching teaching also.

12 weeks, Tuesdays 3-5p ET (sessions will be recorded on zoom, so if you have to miss 1-2 sessions, you can catch up after the fact).
All sessions will be virtual, via zoom.

Loved the “dharma talk” — loved the talk on flow states— and the information on stress in the body and the inflammatory response, and the awareness that people from backgrounds of systemic oppression experience even more inflammation (seen a lot in chronic conditions) was really sobering. Thinking about how the body stores trauma and stress energy and meditation is a form of self healing, self purifying ...

I recommend this training for anyone who wants to understand the why and how meditation “works.” Meditators who have a bit of medical background or who know more about mind/body connection I think would really love this offering. The online format was super easy to fit into busy life so works well for people who have unusual schedules and need to learn on their own time.

Other information:

This teacher training is designed to teach you how to successfully teach the REST Technique™, a meditation technique adapted from the Conscious Health (Vedic) Meditation technique. This is NOT a Vedic meditation teacher training.

You will be certified to teach the REST Technique™ in the live/virtual setting, with no further financial obligation to Jill after completing the course requirements and receiving your certificate.

If you would like to create an online course (i.e. evergreen/ pre-recorded modules) from the knowledge you have gained in this training, you may adapt the knowledge and create a course in whatever format you choose, but with the agreement to use a different name from the REST Technique (you may mention your certification in the REST Technique in your qualifications)

Questions?

Contact Jill: Jill@jillwener.com

FAQ:

  1. Will the sessions be in-person?
Each session will be virtual/live, via zoom.

  2. What if I want to create a pre-recorded online course in the future?

Great! You can create whatever content you like, you just will not be able to use the name REST Technique™ in the course title or content. You can adapt the knowledge you learn in the teacher training and present it however you prefer, with a different name :)

  3. What if I miss a session?

Each session will be recorded and made available to you immediately after the session. It will be your responsibility to watch the session before the following week’s meeting. There is no minimum number of sessions you must attend, but the understanding is that you will plan to attend all sessions live, with as few exceptions as possible.

  4. I learned Conscious Health Meditation, so I haven’t taken the REST Technique™ course. What is the difference between the REST Technique™ and Conscious Health (Vedic) Meditation?

The actual technique is the same, exactly what you are used to with your Conscious Health/Vedic practice. The REST Technique™ is practiced 15 minutes twice a day, versus the 20 minutes twice daily for CHM/VM. Also, the REST Technique™ uses 1 mantra for all students, rather than the large selection of mantras used for CHM/VM. There is no puja or ‘opening ceremony’ for the REST Technique™.

  5. How much homework will there be in between sessions?

You will have some assignments to start crafting your course structure and practicing how you’ll actually teach, plus you will have some testing towards the end of the course to make sure you have mastered the material. That said, there is no required reading, and you won’t spend more than an average of 1-2 hours per week in between sessions (less at the beginning, and possibly more towards the end of the course).

  6. I can’t make it work with my schedule this time. Will you be offering this teacher training again in the future?

Hopefully, yes! But there are no dates set at this time.

This teacher training gave me a more tangible appreciation for how much I need my own meditation practice right now when the whole world is on fire.
