Engaging in activism despite setbacks with Marisa Pyle

Jill Wener·Nov 12, 2024· 2 minutes

What is the importance of coalition building and why is it important to develop? What are some ways to stay engaged in activism despite setbacks?

In this series on healthcare and social disparities, Dr. Jill Wener, a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist, anti-racism educator, meditation expert, and tapping practitioner, interviews experts and gives her own insights into multiple fields relating to social justice and anti-racism. In this episode, Jill interviews Marisa Pyle, an anti-zionist organizer. They touch on topics of Marisa’s anti-zionism journey, activism, and strategies for successful coalition building.

Marisa is a Jewish Georgian who grew up in rural North Georgia. As an anti-zionist organizer, they are active with Jewish Voice for Peace Atlanta to build community and local power for Palestinian liberation. Marisa lives in Atlanta, and is a graduate of UGA.
