Personal Coaching

Support for navigating stress, change, and uncertainty—without losing yourself.

Personal coaching with Dr. Jill Wener offers a steady, supportive, nonjudgmental space to tend to what you’re carrying and to reconnect with clarity, resilience, and direction. This work is for people who are navigating real challenges—often while continuing to show up for others—and who want support that honors both their humanity and their strengths.

Whether you’re facing a specific transition or feeling worn down by ongoing stress, coaching can help you slow down, feel more grounded, and move forward with greater ease and intention.

Jill listened intently and helped me parse out the career trajectory and family balance that I actually want, as opposed to the version I thought I “should” do but wasn’t excited about. I felt like I left our session lighter than how I entered it.

Who This Work Is For

Personal coaching may be a good fit if you are:

  • A physician or healthcare professional coping with burnout, moral distress, or the emotional weight of caregiving in complex systems

  • Living with medical illness—your own or a loved one’s—and seeking support that honors the emotional, physical, and existential impact of health challenges

  • Navigating major life changes, such as divorce, separation, caregiving shifts, retirement, or becoming an empty nester

  • Struggling with test-taking anxiety, performance anxiety, or high-stakes evaluations that trigger overwhelm or self-doubt

  • Feeling stuck, depleted, or unsure how to move forward—even when things “look fine” on the outside

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. Many people come simply because they want support that feels thoughtful, steady, and aligned with who they are becoming.

I appreciated how Dr. Wener listened to me, was fair and balanced, but kind in her way of showing me what I really wanted in this situation. She reflected back to me my own words, but listening to them come out of someone else’s mouth made me understand why I was struggling. She also gave me actionable items to move forward.

How Coaching Can Help You

Each coaching relationship is individualized, but common areas of focus include:

  • Managing stress, overwhelm, and emotional reactivity

  • Supporting resilience during illness, uncertainty, or grief

  • Clarifying values and priorities during times of transition

  • Health and wellness goals

  • Rebuilding confidence and steadiness around testing or performance situations

  • Strengthening self-trust and capacity to make aligned decisions

  • Developing practical tools you can return to in daily life

The goal is not to “fix” you (because you don’t need fixing), but to support meaningful, sustainable change that feels integrated and realistic.

How the Work Unfolds

Jill’s approach is trauma-informed, relational, and coaching-based. Sessions are paced to support your nervous system and lived experience, with attention to what feels manageable and supportive. You will be in choice around coaching topics, coaching techniques, and desired coaching outcomes.

Depending on your needs, sessions may include:

  • Coaching conversations to explore what matters most and identify next steps

  • EFT/Tapping to help regulate stress, anxiety, and emotional intensity

  • Meditation and contemplative practices to support grounding, presence, and clarity

You don’t need prior experience with any of these approaches. Tools are introduced gently and only when they feel helpful.

Coaching with Jill is like holding up a mirror- not with judgment- with no motive other than to help me look more inward to see where I’m getting in my own way. She helped me to set the future precedent of how I’m going to continue to use these principles in navigating future obstacles and gave me foresight into the leadership growth I’ve been looking for. Coaching helped me see how to stay out of my own way, and not go back to where it’s comfortable- because even though it’s easier, it’s not what’s best for me.

About the Coaching Process

Coaching is grounded in the belief that individuals have inherent wisdom, creativity, and motivation. With the support of a trained coach, this inner capacity can expand—opening up new perspectives, choices, and effective ways forward.

Personal coaching is not psychotherapy or medical treatment. It’s a collaborative, supportive process focused on growth, resilience, and practical skill-building. Jill’s background as a physician informs her work, but coaching sessions are not clinical care.
