Pharmacy and Health Equity With  Dr. Marcus Howard

Jill Wener·Mar 26, 2024· 2 minutes

What does it mean to be radically inclusive?

What is the importance of being culturally responsive as a healthcare provider?

In this series on healthcare and social disparities, Dr. Jill Wener, a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist, anti-racism educator, meditation expert, and tapping practitioner, interviews experts and gives her own insights into multiple fields relating to social justice and anti-racism. In this episode, Jill interviews Dr. Marcus Howard, Founder and CEO of GreaterHealth Pharmacy & Wellness. They discuss the role of pharmacy in health equity and the importance of creating partnerships to broaden the impact of organizations that support underrepresented communities.

Dr. Marcus Howard is a North City St. Louis native and graduate of Metro Academic and Classical High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Exercise Science and his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in Human Development. He returned home in 2020 to start GreaterHealth Pharmacy & Wellness,a radically inclusive, culturally responsive pharmacy focused on providing quality patient-centered care to St. Louis residents.
